The Public Garden: nature, elegance and urban lifestyle

Located between Chartres and the Golden Triangle, the Jardin Public district in Bordeaux embodies a subtle balance between urban refinement and a relaxed lifestyle. This popular district is built around an emblematic jewel: the Public Garden, an 11-hectare landscaped park, a veritable bubble of greenery right in the city center.

Created in 1746 on the initiative of Marshal de Richelieu, then governor of Bordeaux, the Public Garden was designed in the manner of French gardens, before being relandscaped in the 19th century in a more romantic style. This place, classified as a historic monument, has always been a space for walking and living for the people of Bordeaux. Even today, we meet morning joggers, children leaving school, musicians, readers and walkers looking for peace and quiet.

Around this central park, the district unfolds its quiet streets, lined with stone buildings with worked facades, beautiful town houses, and shaded squares where cafes, bookstores and shops line up. We live there at a gentle pace, driven by the elegance of the place and the proximity to all amenities.

Neighborhood shops, quality schools, intimate restaurants and art galleries contribute to this friendly atmosphere, which is both chic and discreet. It is a neighborhood that appeals to families and active people, heritage lovers as well as city residents in search of serenity. All this, a few minutes walk from the hyper-center.

In terms of mobility, everything is simple: tram C, bus lines, bike paths, everything is designed to get around easily. But here, we especially like to walk, stroll, and enjoy the city at our own pace.

Properties bordering or in the direct perimeter of the Public Garden are highly sought after: old apartments with character, terraces overlooking the park, family homes renovated with care, townhouses with gardens... Each property here tells a story and is part of an exceptional heritage environment.

Living in the Jardin Public district means choosing an art of living that is unique in Bordeaux: between nature, culture and refinement, in one of the most popular settings in the city.
